How to reach the Sanctuary

The Oropa sanctuary is located in Via Santuario di Oropa, 480 – 13900 Biella – Oropa (BI).

FROM THE TRAIN STATION OF BIELLA.

The Sanctuary can be reached from the train station of Biella S. Paolo, which is located at approximately 14 km of distance (www.trenitalia.com), taking the ATAP n°360 bus line from the train station ( www.atapspa.it ). The bus trip is roughly 35 minutes long, and leaves at the following times:

From the train station of Biella S. Paolo to Oropa (piazzale funivie):

Monday to Friday: 6:35, 7:30, 9:00, 10:25, 13:10, 14:25, 17:10, 18:25

Saturdays, Sunday, Holidays: 7:10, 8:25, 10:25, 13:25, 15:25, 17:10, 18:25

From Oropa (piazzale funivie) to the train station of Biella S. Paolo: 

Monday to Friday: 8:09, 9:40, 11:05, 13:48, 15:05, 17:47, 19:05

Saturdays, Sunday, Holidays: 7:48, 9:05, 11:05, 14:03, 16:05, 17:47, 19:05

In addition, the arrival and departure dates we have organized a private bus connecting the Sanctuary to the train station, leaving at the following times:

29/06/2025,  Biella train station to Oropa Sanctuary: 19:30, 21:00, 23:00

12/07/2025,  Oropa Sanctuary to Biella train station: 06:30, 10:00, 12:30

BY CAR.

The Sanctuary can be reached by car from Biella (14 km) via strada statale 144, from Vercelli (56 km) via strada statale 230, from Torino (87 km) via A4 Torino-Milano - Santhià exit, from Alessandria via strada statale 143 -  casello Santhià exit, and from Aosta via the raccordo Ivrea-Santhià - Santhià exit.
